Bible Verse of the Day

Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him and afflicted.  But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.  We all, like sheep, have gone astray; each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:4-6

This verse was just what I've been looking for! I have a Muslim Facebook friend who "liked" something recently that purported to show how the old and new testaments were inconsistent, and I've been wracking my brain for a Bible verse to post for Easter, that would have something to say to the issue. This one looks ideal, thank you for posting it.

Much love to you and your family, praying that you will have a joyous Easter.

Thank you, Caroline. Same to you and yours. I'm glad the verse was helpful to you in your context. I reckon that was God at work.
The OT has so many prophecies about Jesus to show Muslims that the NT fulfils the Old.
